The show is the first ever CGI animated series developed by Xilam. The studio will start production next summer with two straight consecutive seasons (156 x 7’) and a global budget of 22 million USD.

I Lost My Body is Jérémy Clapin’s first feature film. Co-written with Guillaume Laurant and produced by Marc du Pontavice (Xilam Animation), the animated film is an adaptation of Laurant’s novel Happy Hand. A cut-off hand escapes from a dissection lab with one crucial goal: to get back to its body. As it scrambles through the pitfalls of Paris, it remembers its life with the young man it was once attached to… until they met Gabrielle.

Mr Magoo has been adapted by Olivier Jean-Marie and Hugo Gittard from John Hubley’s original series, created in 1949. The new series is directed by Xilam’s Hugo Gittard.

Acclaimed French studio Xilam Animation, a specialist in the genre, is behind classic series such as Oggy and the Cockroaches. Xilam’ series represent an iconic part of the French animation industry’s international exports for the last two decades, airing in over 190 countries.

Oggy’s birthday is still on! The Aquarium de Paris and Xilam join forces to give extensions to the 20^th anniversary of the flagship series, with an exhibition “Oggy and Cockroaches at the Aquarium of Paris” and different types of activities:

After a warm visit of Paris offices with Marc du Pontavice, during which Mr. Kotabe was presented Xilam’s ongoing productions, the animation legend gave a masterclass to all teams. Accompanied by Mr. Ilan Nguyen, cultural mediator, specialist in japanese animated films and translator, Mr. Kotabe talked about his career path and various achievements, enriched with excerpts from films and series, anecdotes about their development and his dear associates, Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki. The masterclass ended with a Q & A session.

From the announcement of the nominees up until November 30 th (11pm GMT), EAA members will be able to vote online to elect the winners in all 18 categories. The winner for each category will be announced during the Emile Awards ceremony on Dec, 8th and receive the trophy on stage.
