We are delighted to announce that “Lucy Lost”, directed by Olivier Clert, has been selected for the European Film Awards Shortlist 2027, unveiled today by the European Film Academy.
The film is one of only eight animated feature films shortlisted this year, alongside 45 fiction films and 15 documentaries, representing a total of 40 European countries.
This selection marks another important milestone in the film’s journey and is a wonderful recognition of the work of all the artistic and technical teams who brought the film to life.
Over the coming weeks, the 5,700 members of the European Film Academy will watch the shortlisted films and vote to determine the nominations for the European Film Awards. The nominations will be announced on November 14, 2026, during the Thessaloniki International Film Festival.
Adapted from Michael Morpurgo’s novel “Listen to the Moon”, produced by Marc du Pontavice and Lucie Bolze, and directed by Olivier Clert, “Lucy Lost” will be released in cinemas in France and Belgium on October 28, 2026.
The 39th European Film Awards will take place in Athens on January 16, 2027.
